A three-year-old girl in Houston, Texas, accidentally shot her four-year-old sister, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said.
“This very tragic situation happened tonight.
According to preliminary information, there were five adults in the apartment having fun. There were also two girls in the house, they were left alone in the bedroom, as one of the parents thought they were under control. One of these, a three-year-old girl found a firearm and unintentionally wounded her four-year-old sister,” Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said in a video posted by his press office on Twitter.
According to Fox News, when the adults heard the shot, they hurried to the bedroom, after which they took the gun from the child and called the police. The girl, wounded in the shooting, died on the spot. An investigation is underway.
